Our Last Resort – OLR
Kushog Lake, Algonquin Highlands
A beautifully updated year-round cottage nestled in the trees on 1.4 acres of land and 320 feet of South and Southwest facing shoreline. On secluded Turtle Bay, a protected area for swimming, that is perfect for families. Water is primarily shallow, clean and clear, with a soft bottom over most of it. Water levels drop substantially after Labour Day, and by October is very shallow
Rock Point is a point of the Canadian Shield that gently slopes into shallow water that transitions from sloped rock, to soft bottom, great for kids transitioning into the water. Floating dock is over soft bottom (not weedy), depth is about 6-7ft at start of season and drops off over season. OLR cove next to Rock Point, is a shallow and soft cove. Tip of the bay, which is the view from the cottage windows, is all natural with steep hill, not an area to swim from
