We recently returned from our fourth winter getaway at Tall Pines Cottage in Wilberforce, and once again, it was nothing short of amazing! This charming cottage continues to exceed our expectations, providing the perfect winter retreat for families looking to escape and create lasting memories.
The kids were absolutely thrilled with all the outdoor activities. The snow was perfect for playing outside, and they had a blast building forts and, of course, sledding down the gentle hills nearby. When we needed a break from the outdoors, the games in the basement kept everyone entertained! It was a nice change of pace from our usual outdoor winter fun, and everyone, adults included, found themselves competing for high scores.
One of the highlights of this trip was definitely the digital scavenger hunt. It was such a fun, interactive activity that kept the entire family engaged. The hunt encouraged us to explore the cottage and work together to solve clues. It was a unique twist on a traditional scavenger hunt, and it really added to the overall enjoyment of our stay.
Tall Pines Cottage is truly a home away from home. It has everything you could possibly need, from a well-stocked kitchen with all the utensils to cozy throws that kept us warm during those chilly evenings. Whether you’re cooking up a meal or curling up with a blanket by the fire, the cottage offers ultimate comfort.

We had the BEST time here. Family, fires and fun!! We had the chance to do the Legion breakfast, $10 and you picked what you got… the hashbrowns are to die for! Wolf sanctuary, water sports. 10/10, we will come back next year. Everything about the cottage is thoughtfully planned out. Nothing left but to relax and unwind. Thank you for a wonderful few days away!

A little late posting but we enjoyed the cottage April 21-23rd. They have literally thought of everything right down to the night lights. the cottage itself is beautiful and sparkling clean. It is spacious and was comfortably enjoyed by 7 adults, 2 kids and a dog! The wrap around deck was perfect for sunny afternoon card games and relaxing. The boys took both the paddle and aluminum boat for a spin.. Neighbors were friendly, scenery and peacefulness was plenty. Lori was extremely helpful and accessible the entire process from my first interest from the moment we locked up to leave. thanks for opening the door to us, look forward to returning!
