Welcome to Loon Street Lodge, a welcoming waterfront cottage on the shores of Lake Scugog in the Kawartha Lakes. Set on a level property with a sandy shoreline and peaceful lake views, this four-season retreat is designed for families who want to spend as much time outdoors as possible. The shallow walk-in water, spacious yard, and easy access to the lake create an ideal setting for swimming, fishing, boating, and enjoying long summer days by the water.
The cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms, with additional sleeping available on the futon in the recreation room. Bright, comfortable living spaces include a fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, air conditioning, unlimited Wi-Fi, satellite television, and everything needed for a relaxing stay. Whether you’re gathering for breakfast before heading outside or winding down after an active day on the lake, the cottage offers a warm and comfortable place to come together.
One of the standout features of Loon Street Lodge is the heated recreation hall, giving guests an incredible entertainment space in every season. Challenge friends and family to pool, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard, darts, arcade games, or even a tune on the piano before heading back outside for badminton, axe throwing, or a paddle around the lake. The long dock provides easy access to the water, where you’ll find a canoe, kayaks, paddleboard, paddle boat, rowboat, and large floating tube ready for your next adventure. The sandy-bottom shoreline is perfect for younger swimmers, while anglers will appreciate the excellent fishing right from the dock.
Conveniently located just minutes from grocery stores, the LCBO, a public boat launch, and Wolf Run Golf Course, the cottage also offers direct boating access through the river toward Lindsay, the Trent-Severn Waterway, and Sturgeon Lake. In the cooler months, nearby walking trails, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing offer even more ways to experience the area. - $500 refundable security deposit
- Cancellation policy: 60 days or more prior to check-in for a full refund minus a 9% admin fee + HST based on the total booking amount (does not include refundable security deposit) No refund is offered for any cancellation less than 60 days prior to check-in
- 50% is due at time of booking, payment by etransfer. Balance and security deposit are due 60 days prior to check-in, payment by etransfer

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to spend 2 nights at the Loon Street Lodge in Janetville. The whole experience was phenomenal—from the gorgeous cottage to the amazing property on the water.
The host provided detailed information and instructions on all aspects of the cottage and property, and ensured that all amenities were clean and in great condition.
Our whole family loved the opportunity to reconnect with one another in the warm and inviting atmosphere and decor of the cottage.
Sitting together in the hot tub on a crisp fall day, while overlooking the water? Priceless.
We will definitely be booking another visit to this unique property soon.

We had a great stay at the cottage! We enjoyed the atmosphere and all of the amenities provided. The kitchen had everything you could need for a week away. There were lots of seating options indoors, and the beds were comfy! Our kids are 10 & 12, and they very much enjoyed the games room! We liked that there were so many different outdoor seating areas to enjoy, and sun or shade were always easy to find. The BBQ is well insulated from wind, making it usable at any time we were there. The hot tub was well used. We were excited to take out the paddle board, kayaks, and double paddle boat!
Once you get past the rocky shore (maybe 3 steps in the water), it’s nice and sandy. We had a mix of stormy and sunny weather and were never at a loss for things to do to entertain. Our son took full advantage of the Lego and gaming systems on rainy days. Our daughter decided to become a pool shark 🥰.
The owner was excellent to deal with and very attentive to anything we needed, and there are some excellent neighbors there to help out on site if you needed something. A note about the lake: This is an extremely shallow lake! You could walk 30ft out from the dock and still be in only 4-5ft of water.
We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a getaway.”
