This warm and inviting four-season cottage offers the perfect lakeside escape, combining modern updates with classic cottage charm. The 1,200 sq. ft. bungalow is situated on 40 feet of beautiful waterfront on Peter Lake, providing a peaceful setting for families and groups looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors. An additional bunkie offers extra sleeping space and privacy, making the property ideal for larger groups.
Peter Lake is a quiet, non-motorized lake known for its clear, shallow water and excellent fishing. The waterfront is weed-free, making it perfect for swimming and water activities. The main dock enjoys full sun until approximately 5:00–6:00 p.m., while the floating dock remains in the sun until sunset, providing the perfect place to spend long summer days on the water.
The property comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests, with a maximum of 6 adults. The main cottage features two bedrooms, including a primary bedroom with a king bed and a second bedroom with a queen bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed. The separate bunkie includes a double bed, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a television, creating a comfortable and private retreat for additional guests.
There are two bathrooms on the property, including a 3-piece bathroom in the main cottage and a 3-piece bathroom in the bunkie.
Guests can enjoy a fully stocked kitchen equipped with everything needed for meal preparation. A water cooler is provided, although the cottage water is safe for drinking. The cottage also offers Wi-Fi, three televisions located throughout the property, and air conditioning in the main cottage. The primary bedroom features a ceiling fan, with additional floor fans available throughout the cottage. The bunkie includes a fan for warmer weather and baseboard heating for comfortable use during cooler seasons.
Outdoor amenities are designed for making the most of the waterfront setting. A large, flat yard gently leads to the lake and provides plenty of space for recreation and relaxation. Guests can enjoy the back deck with an outdoor dining table, a propane BBQ, lawn games, a fire pit with seating, and both a main dock and floating dock.
A variety of watercraft are available for guest use, including two kayaks, one canoe, one paddle boat, a fishing boat, and a floating water mat. Life jackets in various sizes are provided. The lake is also known for excellent fishing opportunities on both Peter Lake and nearby Wollaston Lake.
For indoor entertainment, guests will find a selection of board games, cards, and video games, including a Nintendo 64 with classic favourites such as Mario Kart and Donkey Kong. Families travelling with young children will appreciate the available baby equipment, including a pack-and-play and high chair.
The cottage is equipped for year-round enjoyment and features a cozy wood-burning fireplace inside, as well as an outdoor fire pit. A starter supply of firewood is provided for both. With parking for up to six vehicles, ample outdoor space, and direct access to the lake, this property offers everything needed for a memorable cottage getaway in every season.

- $600 refundable security deposit, due 60 days prior to check-in, payable by etransfer, returned 2-3 business days after departure. Full refund offered only if the dates can be rebooked at the same rate. An admin fee will be deducted for any cancellation: 9% admin fee plus HST on the full rate (this does not include the security deposit)

Your cleaning staff is amazing. The cottage was so clean when we arrived, and we were super impressed.
The cottage was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay. The evenings were quiet and allowed us to get the R&R we needed.
Overall, I would recommend your accommodations to everyone. 5 out of 5 stars!

My family had an amazing time at Karpe Diem! The weather wasn’t the best for 2 days, but because of all of the games, etc. they had, we were able to keep the kids busy, and the kids still fished and had fun going on the boat when we could!
My family rents a cottage every summer, or sometimes twice a summer, and it was a pleasant surprise to see the things provided by the owners. We also had a storm during our stay, and the owner reached out and went above and beyond, I feel, to make sure our stay was accommodating. We are hoping to get back this summer!

Our family recently spent a week at Karpe Diem and couldn’t have asked for more—we had a perfect vacation in this cozy cottage. There was an amazing selection of outdoor amenities in a quiet and peaceful lake setting that provided hours of fun for our family. We swam, snorkeled, fished, and went out on the canoe, kayak, and paddleboat daily. With a great selection of games and indoor activities for when we needed a break from the sun, we truly never wanted to leave!
We also really appreciated that it was a dog-friendly cottage, so our furry family members could enjoy the stay as well. Joanna was a great host who checked in often, offered an early check-in on our first day when the cottage was ready before check-in time (we were still hours away, so we couldn’t make it), and returned our security deposit much sooner than anticipated. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking!

We had a great time at Karpe Diem! The cottage was clean, with good-sized rooms, an amazing bunkie, and a beautiful waterfront. We spent almost all of our time outside swimming, fishing, and roasting marshmallows. It was a great opportunity for our family to connect. Even my teenager put her phone down to come enjoy vacation with us. The temperature was good, and the ceiling fans worked well. Coe Hill is a cute little town, and the Red Eagle Campground has basic grocery supplies if we needed anything. Service was great, and I was able to work from the cottage using my cell service when needed and completely checked out and relaxed as well!
